The Decision Custom Rules tab is a rule editor. Rules created can change the decision status from Approve or Decline to Refer, or from from Approve or Refer to Decline. For each rule that is True a Reason is appended to the application for use by loan officers in reviewing the application.
There are three categories of rules:
Approve to Refer - Rules are created to look for negative aspects (such as "Major Derog Count > 2"), change the status from Approve to Refer, and append a negative reason defined by the credit union for use by loan officers in reviewing the application.
Approve/Refer to Decline - Rules are created to look for negative aspects, change the status from Approve or Refer to Decline, and append a negative reason defined by the credit union for use by loan officers in reviewing the application.
Decline to Refer - Rules are created to look for positive aspects (such as "Down Payment > $4,000"), change the status from Decline to Refer, and append a positive reason defined by the credit union for use by loan officers in reviewing the application.
