The Test Application Processing feature provides credit unions with a resource to:
► | Test existing or modified underwriting strategies to determine if desired results are received |
► | Test newly created Custom Rules to ensure proper functionality |
► | Test the assignment of recently updated rates in a test environment |
Getting Started Show Me (3:43)
In order to begin testing loan products setup in Decision Manager, users will need a Test User ID and Password to login to CUDL3’s Test Environment.
IMPORTANT: To avoid running test applications in the Live environment, DO NOT use your Live User Name and Password. Each credit union will be provided one (1) Test User ID to process test applications.
In order to begin processing Test Applications, the credit union is required to have the following:
► | Live on Decision Manager |
► | CUDL3 Test User ID and Password (contact CUDL Customer Care) |
► | Test Accounts issued by the credit union’s Credit Reporting Agency (Experian, TransUnion or Equifax) |
► | Lender Application Entry feature checked in CUDL3 (contact CUDL Customer Care) |
Decision Manager Setup
Since the credit union must be Live on Decision Manager to use the testing functionality, a product should already be established in CUDL3.
In order to test the underwriting parameters setup in Decision Manager, the credit union must promote the product to the Test Environment.
To promote a product to test, click on the Promote icon on the Decision Manager toolbar and select Promote to Test.
Decision Manager will validate the product to ensure setup is complete. If no validation errors exist, click Promote to Test.
Once the product is promoted to the Test Environment, the credit union will be able to login to CUDL3 to begin testing.
CUDL3 Application Testing
Once the Decision Manager product you would like to test has been Promoted to the Test Environment, login to CUDL3 using the Test User ID and Password provided.
*Important: DO NOT use your Live User ID and Password.
This login will grant access to the credit union’s CUDL3 test environment. Since this is a test environment, the credit union will not see any Live applications in the queue.
Prior to entering any test applications, the credit union should confirm that the name – Tester (credit union code) is in the upper left hand corner. This will confirm that you are in the CUDL3 test environment.
Click “Enter Application” to submit a test application.
When selecting the Loan Type, be sure to select the same product you will be testing in Decision Manager. (e.g. If the credit union is testing Decision Manager New Auto loan product, be sure to select Loan Type Auto in CUDL3.
Enter all required information and click “Save and Submit”
*Important: All applicant data must be test accounts assigned by your credit union’s Credit Reporting Agency. DO NOT USE REAL MEMBER DATA!
Once the application has been submitted, the application will be in the CUDL3 test queue. The credit union will be able to analyze the application to determine if the status, term, rate and loan amount were assigned correctly.
The credit union can submit as many test application necessary to confirm the Decision Manager is functioning as expected. When testing is complete, the credit union can login to Decision Manager and promote the product Live.
To promote a product to Live, click on the Promote icon on the Decision Manager toolbar and select Promote to Live.
Decision Manager will validate the product to ensure setup is complete. If no validation errors exist, click Promote to Live.
Once the product is promoted to the Live Environment, all decisions will be rendered by the updated product.
Decision Results (not functioning as expected)
If the results of an application are not what you expected, select the product on the left and click the pencil icon to lock the product for editing. Make all necessary changes and promote to the Test Environment. Resume testing by logging in as instructed above and resubmit the applications.
When testing is complete and desired results are received, promote the product to Live.
