Routing defines how applications are mapped to products for underwriting, rate assignment, etc.  Some systems automatically route applications based on Vehicle Type and Condition.

These same variables are assigned as the default routing when new products are created in Decision Manager.

Example: Creating a New Auto by clicking on the New button from the Create a Product screen...

CreateAProduct-Auto

...will set the following routing:

 Vehicle Condition Is New

  AND Vehicle Type Is Auto

The Condition New means never before registered.  The Type Auto precludes Recreational Vehicles, Motorcycles, and other Types from being assigned this product.

The Routing work area allows you to redefine New Auto to match your definition of a New Auto as described both by the Product Name and Description in the Product Info work area.
